VP of Marketing and Business Development

Position Overview

We are recruiting candidates for a VP of Marketing and Business Development based in Rochester, NY. The individual for this unique opportunity will be responsible for managing all VirtualScopics Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device company imaging solution sales. This includes developing the strategy and implementation of marketing and sales plans, and overseeing the Business Development team in generating leads, managing and reporting opportunities through the VS sales tracking process and CRM system, closing business, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a yearly sales plan; create a strategy to expand business in a proactive manner (not rely solely on RFPs from established partnerships to grow business). Manage progress towards individual and team sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain senior level relationships at client and partner companies.
  • Active participation on the company executive team. May include role in developing new business partners/acquisitions and/or development of new markets.
  • Develop and manage the Business Development team in all sales and marketing initiatives. Ensure team has the right talent and resources required to meet objectives.
  • Report BD activities and progress towards goals in a very quantitative and actionable fashion to the company on an ongoing basis.
  • Participate and represent the company at industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Manage the BD team and be personally proficient in the following areas:
  • Strategy and follow-up from trade shows, customer meetings, mailers, and cold calling, etc.
  • Utilization of the VirtualScopics sales tracking process and CRM system.
  • Proposal development (including required internal and external meetings, circulation, and edits), working with the sponsor's contracts and outsourcing groups, and closing business.
  • Oversight of Pre-Sale requirements during each phase of the selling process including working with clinicians, radiologists, imaging scientists, software developers, and imaging technologists as required.
  • Ensure a seamless process to handoff approved contracts to Project Management for initiation. Provide continuous monitoring of projects' status to ensure customer expectations are being met.
  • Customer relationship management: maintaining a face to the customer after the sale, building customer satisfaction, tracking and managing customer feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or graduate degree preferred.
  • 10 years experience in leading and developing sales teams; 5 years in an international capacity.
  • 10 years experience with a proven track record in direct sales, technical sales, capital equipment sales, and/or selling solutions/consulting services.
  • Experience selling to the medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Senior Project Manager

Position Overview

We are recruiting candidates for a Sr. Project Manager based in Rochester, NY. The individual for this unique opportunity will be responsible for client management, including start up project planning, ongoing customer satisfaction, and project performance for all assigned projects.

This position will be the primary client interface after contract approval with a focus on ensuring a smooth start-up of all project related activities and a seamless transition to the Project Manager for on-going project maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans for new contracts to ensure that all client requirements are addressed in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Ensure implementation of all start-up activities, providing the client with consistent status reports.
  • Act as the primary client interface until project stabilizes and can be transferred to a Project Manager for maintenance and close-out.
  • Maintain contact throughout contract with client to evaluate customer satisfaction and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Director of Project Management on Project Managers' project performance.
  • Represent VirtualScopics at sponsor meetings as required.
  • Develop and track revenue forecasting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree (business, life sciences) or equivalent business experience in a regulated environment.
  • 3-5 years Project Management experience preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Supervision experience desirable.

Requirements

  • Travel required up to 25% of the time.
