Incoming Image Processing

Once data begins to roll in from the sites, it is the Incoming Image Processing team that plays an integral role in quality control and job flow. For this reason VirtualScopics has implemented numerous procedures to facilitate the smooth processing of images and the strict adherence to quality. We conduct a 100% inspection of incoming data so that issues are identified and remedied early to minimize data loss.

Incoming Image Processing Management is a 3-step process:

  • Incoming Image Handling
    • Receive Data from Site (electronic or CD)
    • Review documentation for GCP compliance
    • Anonymization
  • Image Quality Inspection
    • Ensure data is consistent with imaging protocol
    • Load data sets into the database
    • Perform incoming image quality inspection
  • Image Processing and Project Management
    • Track subjects and timepoints (joint activity between Image Processor and Project Manager)
    • Notify sites if corrections or resends are required
    • Create analysis workbooks (associate subjects with a specific workflow)
