Position Overview

At present, we are recruiting candidates for an Imaging Scientist who will be responsible for supporting our research and development of imaging biomarker technology. The person in this position will work closely to support the Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Technology Officer in all required activities.

The individual for this unique opportunity must be a team player, be a fast study, have a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in a fast paced environment. He/she must have a keen attention to details and the ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.

 

Responsibilities

    • Develops/reviews imaging charters/protocols for customer projects related to image acquisition and image analysis.
    • Performs pre-processing tasks for research-oriented projects, generating the necessary documentation to ensure compliance with established requirements.
    • Performs statistical quality checks for study data.
    • Works with cross-functional teams to improve operational productivity.
    • Provides image analysis support to Technologists/Analysts and Radiologists.
    • Supports the enhancement and modification of the VirtualScopics biomarker measurement technology through algorithm development.
    • Provides technical customer support for the imaging portion of the customer’s project, which may include teleconferences, presentations, and/or travel to customer sites or investigator meetings.

 

Qualifications

  1. Master of Science degree in applied physics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a field related to medical imaging or science.  PhD a plus.
  2. Experience and demonstrated capabilities working with PET and/or MRI clinical scanners preferred.
  3. Technical writing experience required.
  4. Experience performing statistical evaluations of data.
  5. Experience working in imaging analysis (i.e., attenuation correction, motion compensation and registration with multiple imaging modalities) preferred.
  6. Computer programming experience in mathematical modeling, data analysis and image processing using languages such as C/C++ or MATLAB.
  7. Experience in radiological science research a plus.
  8. Publications in medical imaging journals, preferred.
  • Experience in the conduct of clinical trials a plus.

Up to 25% travel required
